Last week I had the opportunity to accompany my wife on a business trip to New York City. This being my first trip to "The Big Apple" I thought I did pretty good on seeing the sites.
Our hotel was just off Times Square.
I met a fellow photographer friend at Grand Central Station and talked shop for a while...
...then I headed out on the town to see what there was to see...I think I walked from GCS to Central Park and then back down to Madison Square Garden...stopping at MOMA (Museum of Modern Art), Radio City Music Hall and Top of the Rock along the way...
...it was quite foggy and rainy but still, what a view...
Got to see all the biggies at MOMA, VanGogh, Picasso, Monet & more...very inspiring...
...we landed in town about 3 hours before the kick-off of Super Bowl XLII! We had reservations at a bar right in Times Square and got to see the Giants beat the Patriots. So on Tuesday...they had the Super Bowl Parade. I quickly became a Giant's Fan...even though my Vikes beat them a few weeks earlier!
So I grabbed (more like squeezed into) a spot on the subway with about 2 million other Giant fans and headed down to check out the parade.
everyone turned out for the show.
It really was a site to see, wow, people everywhere...it was fun.
hopefully I can get to one of these in Minneapolis....
hopefully someday!!
